Chuck Robinson BMX – An Interesting Journey to Fame

The Chuck Robinson BMX came into the limelight after it helped Bobby Woods win the World Championships. Since then, Robinson frames and forks became one of the most popular ones among the cyclists of the world. Soon the small shop founded as Robinson Racing in 1977 came into its own and started operating out of Chuck’s garage.

The sudden rise of Chuck Robinson brand and its lasting legacy

The initial manufacture defects detected in the forks and frames of these new BMX bicycles were successfully overcome when Rich Long and Gary Turner joined hands with Chuck with their GT BMX line. The business partnership grew into a long-term friendship and other reputed bicycle companies like CW Racing and Roger Worsham remained in close contact with Chuck.

Because of the problems that cropped initially in the creation of the frames and forks of these bikes, Chuck could not hold his own and the Rich Long and Gary Turner team finally went ahead to buy the Chuck Robinson line of bikes. Although Chuck passed into oblivion within a few years, his first BMX line remained to enjoy the glory of being associated with bicycling champions like Gary Ellis, Danny Nelson and Stu Thompsen.
